We are all connected

We often hear that everything in the universe is connected. I am connected to you, you are connected to me, there is a connection between me and my dog, and the plant growing in my garden. There is even a connection between me and the person I don’t particularly like, although sometimes I would do without connections like that. But where did this idea come from? Is it a new age ‘mumbo jumbo’ or are we really connected to one another?

Let’s dive deeper.

I find quantum physics absolutely fascinating. I don’t understand it very well, but I love the bits that I comprehend. It explains for me the theories that I have believed in already.

I came across the theory of entanglement some time ago and it sent shivers down my spine. The entanglement arises from the connection between particles. Once something begins as a whole, even if it is separated physically, and through time, energetically it is still connected to one another. So, when I tell you that we are all connected, I’m not lying. If we go back in time far enough, before the Big Bang, everything – the Earth, you, me, birds, animals, insects, elements, everything was connected. After the Big Bang the particles began to grow physically apart, but because they have already been ‘one’ before, they have been in corelation to one another, energetically they remain connected. We are part of this Earth, and we are part of each other. We still keep the memory of the origin. This memory is buried deep within but is still there.  And through this memory we can connect to the information of the origin, of the divine, and we can remember it all. But this is an information that is not so easy to access, especially in today’s world when the idea of separation is so strongly rooted in our bodies and minds.  This information is held within the collective field. The field that joins the Earth and all living creatures. The field that joins you to your ancestors, and to your descendants.

Throughout the centuries we have remembered. Our Palaeolithic ancestors left behind the prof of this remembrance. They not only left a beautiful cave paintings, but also a beautiful sculpture of women. ‘To date, more than 250 figurines of women have been found in sites across Europe, with several more discovered in Siberia and Eastern Russia’, writes Liz Childs Kelly. ‘Some of these figurines are thought to be close to 40,000 years old. And despite being found scattered across a geographical area of 4,000 miles and in some cases, significant span of time, many of them share remarkably similar characteristics’(1). People collectively remembered the importance of the Sacred Feminine and created similar art to depict her even though they probably never spoke to one another nor shared their ideas. They remembered, and this remembrance is surfacing all over the world not only in mythology, but also in understanding the importance of our energetic body and its functions. And we are trying to remember throughout centuries. Remember that separation is only an illusion, introduced to take our power away from us. That we are connected on so many levels that when we begin to acknowledge it, we will never feel alone again.

Is this connection still difficult to acknowledge? Oh, I get it, it took me a while to wrap my mind around it too. Is there a connection that can strike nearer home? There is.

Let’s dive even deeper.

We are all energetic beings. The energy flows all around us, within us, through us. Our energetic fields meet first, before we can get close enough to touch one another. Health and most diseases are created in our energetic fields and then transferred into our physicality. Our energetic field and our body are entwined in a constant dance of life – one cannot function without the other. We all have the ability to tap to the universal energy field for information and healing. The entire universe is constructed in such an amazing way and grants us this ability. We can all discover the healer within. You don’t need any special abilities nor magic powers. It is all at your fingertips. The only thing that you need is trust and if you prefer so a teacher or a guide. The entire universe is constructed in such an amazing way that it grants us the ability to connect with all energetical beings on this planet and even further. We can connect with our own energy, the energy of others, of animals, plants, crystals, trees, mushrooms, planets, elements, etc. And when we die, although our body will decompose and join with our beautiful planet, the energy will remain. And this is the energy we can connect to and in this way, we can work with our ancestors and the events past. In this way we can bring healing to our family lines and to our his/her-story.

We are all carrying a heavy load of our own experiences but also the experiences of our ancestors. The deep wounds can spread through generations and sometimes we have no idea why we are making the same mistakes over and over again. Why we experience difficulties in certain areas of our lives, why we cannot let go of sadness, fear or guilt. We all carry so much on our shoulders and sometimes it is simply too difficult to comprehend what is truly ours and what is coming to the surface through our generational trauma. What we must process ourselves and what can be witnessed and released because it doesn’t belong to us.

Just think about it for a minute. We all know how much pregnant woman’s behaviour, what she is eating, how calm she is, what is happening around her influences her unborn child. Nobody questions that anymore. But what if I told you that when your grandmother was pregnant with your mother, the egg that has become you was already present in your mother’s ovum. At 20 weeks, a female foetus has a fully developed reproductive system, with six to seven million eggs in her ovaries. So, when your grandmother was pregnant with your mother, a part of you was already present within her – soaking up your grandmother’s experiences and pains. Soaking up your mother’s fears and pains. And when your grandmother was in her mother’s belly, your mother was partway present in that experience too, affecting her energetic field and genetic ability to process. Generations within generations, carrying and witnessing the pain, the struggle, and the happiness of what was. If you are interested in this topic, I’m writing more about this connection in my book ‘Dancing with Goddesses: Archetypal Journey through the Menstrual Cycle’.  Why then are we so surprised that our load is so heavy. Why are we so surprised that our energetical fields are vibrating with the frequencies from the past. This is the connection that we were told doesn’t exist, yet we carry it within our bodies daily. What we also need to remember is that we are living in the world and in society that is not sustainable for us anymore. So, each day we gather more and more layers within our bodies and energetic fields – layers that if unprocessed will lead to suffering and disease. It seems like a never-ending process – shedding the generational past, shedding your own past when all the while new layers are building within you to shed. Where do you even start?

For me personally the healing journey begins in the heart – the centre of yourself – the great within. From there you begin your spiral journey through the energetic centres, memories, actions, pain, and pleasure. You reach back to your ancestors, bringing the wisdom and the wounds into here and now, so you can process them, learn from them, and release them for your highest good, and then you reach forward to your descendants to do the same. All the while working on what is surfacing within your body and your life now, so the healing can go both into the past and into the future, and by doing that it can affect and change your present, making it better, more whole. But the journey of the spiral is a never ending one – this is the blessing and magic of this sacred shape. It’s a blessing because you do not need to do all the work at once. You can peal yourself layer by layer, having time on your side. Dancing the Spiral Path centre by centre, growing while you are working and then returning to the same centre but from a different perspective and time – this will give you the opportunity to reach deeper, and heal in the more holistic way. Heal right to the roots of your being. Dancing the spiral is calling both – masculine and feminine energies and powers, as you need both, to ascend and to descend to fulfil your healing path. By calling those powers without, you allow yourself and the energy to rise up or to flow down, and by doing that you are also opening yourself to discovering them both within. As one cannot exist without the other, like patriarchy would like you to believe. Light is as important as the darkness, and we cannot live in just one or the other. We need both for our lives to make sense and have balance and stability.

I would like to invite you to walk the Spiral Path with me. To discover your wounds and strengths, to balance and harmonise your energy centres and release everything that doesn’t serve you anymore. The Spiral is the path that we walk together, as community, as brothers and sisters, not in separation, but connected, in support, compassion and love.
