Doulas support women and families during pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period. They support practical and emotional needs but their support is non-medical in nature.
Pregnancy and childbirth are a very important rite of passage for all of us. Becoming a ‘parent’ can be a wonderful, fulfilling and empowering experience for a woman and her partner. I would like you to give me the opportunity to help you make this experience as wonderful as possible. I would like to give you my time, care, encouragement, presence, warmth, and my complementary skills. Whether you choose to give birth at home or in hospital, let me be with you. Let me support and empower you through your birth. Doula is a protector of ‘mother’. Let me share with you my attentiveness, knowledge of natural pain relief, positions that can help you through labour, and bathe you in the wonderful light of Reiki.
The birth pack (a minimum of 2 antenatal visits, phone and email support, doctor or midwife appointments if necessary, two weeks on call time, birth, one postnatal visit, 6 weeks of phone or email support after the birth and a free Zero Balancing session). Included in the price will be 1 return journey to the birth place. Any other travelling expenses involved would incur additional cost.
